Privacy Policy
Our Philosophy
Lakrion exists because we believe privacy is a fundamental right, not a feature. We designed our system so that we cannot access your communications, even if we wanted to. This isn't a promise — it's architecture.
What We Do NOT Collect
- • Message content — End-to-end encrypted. We cannot read your messages.
- • Contact lists — We don't store your contacts or build social graphs.
- • Real names or identity documents — Not required, never collected.
- • Phone numbers or email addresses — Account keys replace traditional identifiers.
- • Location data — We don't track where you are.
- • Device identifiers — Beyond one-time activation, not stored.
- • Usage analytics or behavioral data — We don't monitor how you use the app.
- • IP logs — Not retained beyond rate limiting.
What We Do Collect
- • Account key hash — A one-way cryptographic hash, not reversible to your key.
- • Subscription tier — To provide appropriate service level.
- • Encrypted message blobs — Temporarily stored for delivery, unreadable by us.
Encryption
All messages are encrypted on your device before transmission using end-to-end encryption. Encryption keys are generated and stored only on your devices. Our servers relay encrypted data without the ability to decrypt it. Even with a court order, we cannot provide message content — we don't have the keys.
Payment Privacy
Payment identity is separated from account identity. We support privacy-preserving payment methods including cryptocurrency. Your payment method cannot be linked to your account or communications.
Data Requests
If presented with a legal request for user data, we can only provide what we have: a cryptographic hash and subscription status. We cannot provide message content because we don't have access to encryption keys.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time. This immediately removes your account key hash and all associated metadata from our servers. Encrypted messages already delivered to recipients remain on their devices under their control.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll notify users through the app. We will never change our core commitment: your communications remain private and encrypted.
